Tattoo Artist sets Record Increasing More than Number of TattoosIf doubt exists about the thriving industry of tattoo removal, an article published by The Associated Press on June 16, 2008 (below) is a perfect example of what is supplying such great demand. From midnight Thursday to midnight Friday, Peck completed 415 tattoos, of the perceived unlucky number 13 to scores of arms, legs, ankles, backs, thighs, and even a few rears brought up the end. Peck claimed a mention in the Guinness Book of Records for drawing the most tattoos in a 24-hour period and was awarded the honor by Guinness adjudicator Danny Girton Jr., according to a report on The Dallas Morning News Web site Saturday. Katherine Von Drachenberg, also known as Kat Von D, star of the reality TV show "LA Ink" on TLC held the former record. The honor of holding this world record title will certainly benefit Oliver Peck’s career as a tattoo artist, but will it be mutually beneficial professionally for say the firefighter, police officer, nurse and surgeon to name a few career professions now down in ink on Oliver’s list. A tattoo of the number 13, a one and a three regardless, of the font design is still a one and a three permanently marked on the skin, and anyway you look at it there is nothing original or creative about it. So without a doubt it this tattoo behavior, the “thrill and excitement of being a particular moment” that compels people to get tattoos without giving thought to tomorrow’s reality, and it this that continues to boost the tattoo removal business. |
