Gang Tattoos - Removing Past Image and Moving On

Everyone has a past, it is just that some pasts happen to be more "colorful" than others.  Regardless of the spectrum one's past, every person is entitled to change his or her palette and start fresh.

Tattoos are worldly expressions prevalent in organized gangs used to mark devotion of brotherhood. Often gang members wear tattoos images of tear drops or dots to symbolize position and stature among members.

Fortunately, after years of criminal trouble and non-sense living, some gang members decide they want to break free street fights and brotherhood bondage in order to make something of their lives.

But even though a person changes his or her views and character, society's view of tattoos is fixated the former gang life.  The result, former gang members are ususally left to fight a losing battle as they try to find a job in the working world. Countless job interviews lead to dead ends when employers come face to face with visible gang tattoos.

The stigma of gang tattoos drives some people to desperate measures such as burning and scraping away at their flesh to attempt tattoo removal.  As most of these people are unaware that there are effective tattoo removal programs available.

Non-government organizations and groups sponsor most tattoo removal programs with the common mission of helping once troubled teenagers and young adults change and better their lives.

Tattoo removal programs may differ in one way or another but most include two or more methods such as laser treatments and lightening fade away creams to remove the shameful ink images of the past. Some programs are offered for free in exchange for hours of community service work.

In addition to helping to remove tattoos, gang tattoo removal programs also include consultations, support systems, and evaluation.
