Americans are especially infatuated with celebrity tattoos and where on their bodies they get tattoos.  Here is a look at some of our favorite celebrity icon tattoos and where they wear their tattoo ink.

Lower Back Tattoos are ironically at the top of the list for woman getting their first tattoo.  Considered sexy, sensual, and most versatile, lower back tattoos can be exposed on the beach, yet covered in the office; shared with a love partner and hidden from the rest of the world. Wrist Tattoos are another popular area chosen among the starlets. A wrist tattoo can be easily hidden under a watch or decorative bracelet if need be. Lindsay Lohan has the word “breathe” written on her wrist.

Foot Tattoos tend to gain a lot of foot traffic in popularity among vacationers.  The popular “Pedi-Souvenir” is not so popular when it comes to a permanent reminder, as tattoo on the feet fade quickly and require frequent touch ups.  Carrie Otis and Charlize Theron are known for their tattoo tootsies.
