Celebrity Lover's Covered in Ink

Scribbling the name of the guy or girl you love on the stall wall of the public bathroom, or spray painting across the side of a brick building is a vandalizing declaration of love.

And, of course anytime a celebrity love affair is exploited by the media with shocking evidence in fresh ink of that the couple tattooed each other’s names on their skin the it breeds the smell of celebrity scandal.
Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, a prime pop-culture couple tainted with name tattoos publicizing their love affair.

They met New Years Eve of 1994.  They were married by February of 1995.  Pamela Anderson had Tommy’s name tattooed on her wedding band finger, Tommy Lee had Pamela’s name tattooed on his penis.

By February of 1998 the two were divorced, yet they still had the tattoos.  Pamela had a cover tattoo done, replacing the T in Tommy with an M, making it mommy.  It is unclear whether or not Tommy still has his tattoo, but one thing that is clear is tattoo removal on a penis is arousing but not amusing.

Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thorton are another classic example.  Married in June of 2000, the two were all over each other in public. Nearly sick with love for one another, Angelina got Billy Bob’s name tattooed on her upper left arm and Billy Bob got Angelina’s name in the crook of his left arm.

It seems pregnant is the new black, and being “preggers” is popping out as the latest Hollywood style statement among young single celebrities.  But as we all know fashion trends such as celebrity tattoos, do not pop and stop at the edge of the Red Carpet.

It seems US teen pregnancies are on the rise after a steady decline from 1991 to 2005. According to the National Center for Health Statistics, birth rates for teenagers aged 15 to 17 rose by 3 percent in 2006, the first increase since 1991.

In fact, recent news headlines covered a teenage "pregnancy pact" in the Northeast has US authorities investigating 17 schoolgirls intentionally expecting babies they plan to raise together as a group.

Some sources are pointing fingers and the blame on Hollywood celebrities for glamorizing pregnancy with recent films such as Juno and Knocked Up, not to mention TV teen network Nickelodeon’s star Jamie Lynn Spears, and sister of pop idol Britney Spears, herself another young mother, giving birth this week at age 17.

Fortunately for tattoo trend followers, advancements in tattoo removal has removed the sting of “forever” from getting a tattoo by undoing the later regret of having to live with a bad decision.
