Tattoos - The Real Trendsetter Changing Fashion

Society’s sense of fashion often originates from the lower class imitating the wealthy and famous celebrities on television, in the movies, or featured in magazines.  And the upper class is also the reason fashions are fleeting, as there is an enduring urge to distinguish one’s superiority through appearances.

Just as the lower class begins imitating high society’s “in look” the fad fades in the shadow of the next emerging fashion trend.

Tattoos however are a bit of a phenomenon challenging every sense of fashion.  An ancient primitive practice, tattooing originated from uncivilized cultures, as a means of distinguishing one’s outward appearance, be it to conform to or to stand out in society; yet tattoos have become perhaps the largest and most widespread fashion affair of all time.

It appears tattoos are redefining not only the image of those baring ink designs, but also the rules of society trendsetters.  And celebrity starlets and society’s upper echelon have prostitutes, criminals, sailors, and circus employees to thank as the real fashion trendsetters as the first to get tattoos.

There is one thing definite however about fashion, it is fleeting.  As tattoos become more commonplace among celebrities and society’s socialites tattoo removal and removing unwanted tattoo designs is quickly emerging as the latest trend.
